So we lost a close one. Left the bases loaded twice, left 11 total on base. No bueno! But in the scheme of things, Bum is back and will get better from here. He only took 2 rehab starts, which frankly is unheard of for a pitcher—but that’s our Bum! No need to panic, we are Giant and we will prevail! Cueto and Samardzija will both throw bullpens on Friday. Melancon told Bochy he was good to pitch on back-to-back days yesterday if needed. The pen is finally good again, and that’s when Boch is the best! Remember, we’re only 2.5 GB!
