My name is #SFGMAN22, I'm the other admin here with #AP9. I have been really inactive lately, and I realize I miss it. I want to thank everyone for all the messages to #AP9. It brought a smile to my face. I battle my own demons quite honestly. I've suffered from depression for years, and it's been really bad for the past 2 years after my wife left me and my daughter. I actually started here just before then, and making memes made me happy when not a lot else could after the split. I'm also on Dodger Hater Memes, so I recognize many of you from both. You have all impacted me, even if you didn't know it.
Laughter is good medicine. When I met AP9 and the folks over at DHM 2.5 years ago, not a lot was going well for me. Sometimes it feels as though it still isn't. Today I can truthfully say I've gained 3 very close friends from the 2 pages, AP9 being one of them. Reading all those messages over the past couple days was a great experience. It reminded me of where I was over 2 years, and how AP9 helped me. It made me realize I haven't done enough to return the favor. The irony of him making us all laugh, as he was in pain himself, doesn't sit well with me. I'm glad he spoke up, and even more glad that people took time to listen and respond.
Thank you all. It was just nice to see. Seeing that many of you suffer from similar things as the 2 of us is strangely comforting. It's hard to admit we're hurting, and even harder to do it publicly and elaborately as he did. He knows of my depression and sadness, but I think I needed to see his post so I can stop being selfish for a minute and realize that others battle this too. It was meant to be that we would find eachother. Probably no coincidence that it happened right when it did too.
I like the idea of the group. Great idea. Anyone that wants to be a part of it can leave a comment here. We will figure it out. If anyone else out there is feeling down or needs an ear, message the page. Most of us have more in common than we realize. Thank you again for the support for AP9. I really was touched by what you all said to my friend. Time to be a better friend myself. Go Giants
