There seems to be some confusion about a former Giants pitcher named Albert Suárez, and a current Giants minor league pitcher named Andrew Suarez in the last post. Albert Suárez was taken by the Dbacks in the first round of the 2017 Rule 5 Draft. This is Andrew in all 3 pics. He is currently in Sacramento with the River Cats. The Giants selected Andrew in the second round of the 2015 draft. He’s a 25 year old leftie from Miami.

It’s official, Matty Moore has been traded to the Texas Rangers for some prospects. According to Hank Schulman who spoke with Bobby Evans, the deal indeed is for financial flexibility (clears $9 mil off our payroll). They have depth with Beede, Andrew Suarez, Blach and Stratton and don't want to trade any of them.

The Giants and Rangers have a trade in place to send Matt Moore to Texas for a package of prospects, according to a report by the San Francisco Chronicle today. Neither club has confirmed the deal, which is said to be pending physicals.
