Our Skipper, Bruce Bochy said yesterday that he will undergo an ablation near his heart to address an atrial fibrillation.
He missed a 2-game series in April in Kansas City for another ablation, which is a minor heart procedure. The surgery will be done next weekend in San Diego.
Boch, who is 62, underwent a heart procedure in February of '15 to insert two stents. He was also hospitalized last summer with an undisclosed illness that forced him to miss one game in Miami.
Widely considered to be a future HOF candidate, in addition to 3 World Series Championships, Boch has also amassed 1,853 regular season victories, second among active managers only to Dusty Baker who has 1,863.
