Here’s our 25-man active roster as of tonight. Note that Bum is not on it yet, as we need to clear a spot for him before his start vs. AZ on Tuesday. After that, we’ll have to do the same for Samardzija, Cueto, and Belt when they’re each ready to return in coming weeks.
After all games ended today, we’re currently tied for 3rd place with LA in the NLW, only 2.5 games out of first place! A few wins for us, combined with some losses for AZ and CO, and boom, we’re in first place! It’s a very tight race this season, and we haven’t even played one game with all of our A-team in place!
So to those of you who’ve complained about Bochy, how he’s old and out of touch with “modern” baseball, I’d love to see you take a rotation of rookies, endless injuries, and an ever changing roster, and keep them within 3 games of first place 2-1/2 months into the season! Remember, there are 162 games in the regular MLB season - so no more panicking when we lose a few!
